With CiTools Keynote you could assign Keynotes to various different attributes such as Composites, Building Materials etc.
I cannot seem to find this feature in the Keynote tool, am I missing something or it is planned in future release
Thanks

Hi @DomenicI
The solution inside Archicad 28 was built from the ground up and integrated into existing Archicad functions. The CI solution is a separate add-on, and has been around and updated for far longer.
Can you describe the workflow further what you'd like to see with the built in Archicad Keynotes solution?
Thanks.
James.

Hi James,
Essentially it allows for Keynotes to be associated to a range of Attributes such as Composites, Building Materials, Fills etc... I have attached screen grabs as reference.
The concept wold be then to use Associated Labels to then easily note composites or details based on criteria. CI Tools Keynotes actually uses a Label Attributes command to quickly label the attributes - labels can be set to which ever format required.
Hope this explains the concept.

Thanks @DomenicI for the screen-shots and further details.
For a label, where the Keynote is derived from the associated element's attribute, what happens to the label and its content when the element's attributes change? Does the label's content go missing? Or it breaks somehow?
We want to support any number of Keynotes for elements, not just a 1:1 relationship, therefore we couldn't just replace the already labelled one with another. If there's multiple assigned, we wouldn't know which one you'd prefer to replace in the label with....

Hi James,
The labels contents do not go missing. There is a Audit Labels tool and identifies changed labels and orphaned labels.
I find the tool very beneficial to Tagging wall types on out project - it has removed the need to ID wall types.

I also found it surprising that the brand-new Keynote functionality in AC28 is an independent 2D annotation system, which doesn't link with any model element properties - seems old-fashioned and doesn't support keeping 3D model attributes and 2D data consistent.

Unfortunately, just because something has been newly developed does not mean that it can be worse than something that already exists.....
