AC 10 Mouse Trouble

Dwight
Newcomer
In doing my first real layout book - on a modest project, suddenly the mouse can't select anything on any layout page.

If I Select All, it is unable to click on and move selected items.

It works fine everywhere else in ArchiCAD and other apppplications.

Boogles? What? Help - deadline - what else is new?

Have not seen this problem and since I don't know what you are trying to select, some possible ideas:

1) If a new or other AC file works fine, then merge the problem file into a new one
2) draw in the regular model enviroment and copy paste to layouts
3) Use select all for the items and move using the coordinate box, just tried it and it works without clicking (pressing x and y for initial point and again x and y for the final location)
4) does the markee work?

Hope this helps

Thank you. A forward merge of the layout book has fixed the problem.

Now, do I attempt a backwards merge?

In AC 10 you must merge the layout separate from the Model.

To keep things simple, I replaced the drawings in the layout book after merging the model into the new file. Only ten views.

However, in the layout book, text placed over a drawing is tricky to select.

Dang. All-in-all, this integration works well, now depriving me of my favorite critical phrase: "Plotmaker… It's a PLOT!"
