Hi @DanVelozo
I'm not sure what your problem with migration might be, but I recommend that you review the following free ARCHICAD 29 MIGRATION GUIDE available in Graphisoft Learn.
Best regards,

You do not say what you are migrating from and to.
The fact that you have dots in your images showing missing objects makes me think you are trying to open an old file (27 or before) in 29.
There is no migration of objects from 27 and before to to 28/29.
You need to use the old libraries, or manually replace every object to the new library pack global objects.
There is no migration needed from a file using 28 global library packs to 29 global library packs.
The only thing you need to do is to swap the loaded library packs from the ones in your 28 program folder to the ones in your 29 program folder if you still have 28 installed.
If you don't have 28 installed, it seems Archicad will swap the libraries for you automatically.

Hi Barry,
can you clarify what you mean by:
"The only thing you need to do is to swap the loaded library packs from the ones in your 28 program folder to the ones in your 28 program folder if you still have 29 installed."

Sorry, typo which I have now fixed.
There is no migration needed from a file using 28 global library packs to 29 global library packs.

If you don't have 28 installed, it seems Archicad will swap the libraries for you automatically.
In other words if you have 28 and 29 installed and you open a file that was using the 28 global libraries, it will continue to use the 28 global libraries.
You have to swap to load the 29 library packs.
If you don't have 28 installed and you load a file that was using the 28 global libraries, it will automatically swap to the 29 libraries.
Don't ask me why this happens.
We have asked that the libraries automatically swap to 29 or at least the user is asked if they want to swap.
I believe this is being looked at.
Similarly if a 29 file is using the 29 global library packs and you save it back to a version 28 file, it will continue to use the 29 library packs.
Also there are no migration libraries any more.
It is all controlled within the library packs.

I feel like given the whole point of the libpacks, that they should live external to the AC installation.

You could copy the library packs to an independent folder on your local drive now and then load those into your projects.
Only thing is, I am not sure the library updates would find them there.
So you would have to update the originals in the program folder and then copy them out again.
And that is fine if you are a solo practitioner.
In an office you would have to do the same on every machine.
Or save them on a server and load them from there.
My own office library is on a server, but I synchronise it (every day) to everyone's local drive and load it from the local drive because it is a little faster that way, and you can work independent of the server if need be.
You can also save them to BIMcloud I believe, but I hear that can be slow loading all of the library packs.
