Coloured and B&W elevations ?

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi,
I'd like to create two sets of the same elevations one B&W and the other coloured. At the moment the only way I can see to do this is by copying the elevations, so I end up with the having the same elevations markers in plan view, having to place them on another layer and hide them.
Is this the general way to do this ?
I'm coming from a Revit background so bear with me.

cheers

Two approaches come to mind:

1. Experiment with Pen Sets. Save two Views of the same Elevation. Use one Pen Set in one and use another (a black and white or grayscale) Pen Set in the other.
2. When you place a View on a Layout as a Drawing, you can then select the Drawing and go to its Settings Dialog. There in the Properties panel you can select either Grayscale or Black and White in the Colors field. That might also work.

I think what Javadevil is after is a way to have both coloured (shaded) elevations and line drawings from the same elevation markers. This would be possible if these settings were part of Model View Options, but not as they are currently set in the Marker settings themselves, in the "Fill Uncut Surfaces with…" options.
