I notice that occasionally my cursor doesn't change into different shapes, i.e. Checkmark and Mercede, when I move it around, it stays as a pan icon, like this:
I'd have to switch to the 3D window and come back. Don't know if any of you experienced this.
1. Upgrade the drivers for your graphics card to the latest version.
2. Play with the 2D Drawing Hardware Acceleration Level setting in the Advanced Redraw Option page of the Work Environment Dialog (e.g. turn it OFF to see if that changes the behavior).

Yup... it happened again, I was just editing a few polylines on my site plan when the cursor stopped changing again. I adjusted graphic settings but no use. I had to exit the project and re-open.
Have you got the latest version of your video card drivers?
This has solved the problem for me in the past.
