Curtain Wall Issue

Hello, Im new to this forum and have been currently thrown into the deep end with Archicad 14.

The issue I am having is the following...

I created a curtain wall and when I click on the edit button, the options that usually come up to edit panel, frame, etc. do not show up. Absolutely nothiing happens when I click edit.

I appreciate in advance any help given.

Just in case, Im running WIN XP/ 2GB RAM / Archicad 14 3296 SPA FULL for Teamwork.

Thanks,

You edit it in the 3D window.

Perhaps your 3D window is hidden and when you try to edit it, it doesn't show?

Another thing you could do is click on the curtain wall and select "Show selected/marquee in 3D Window" to bring up the 3D window, and in the 3D window when you click on the curtain wall, an "Edit" prompt will come up which will then allow you to edit it.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I've tried from the 3d window as well as with a marquee.

When i click on the edit button it automatically acts as a click and drag command to move the curtainwall.

UPDATE!!!: I found that if I go through the design menu, I can edit the curtain wall, but if i try through the floating edit toolbar, it does not recognize the clicks on the toolbar.

Its like its just a semi-transparent menu that has no function.

It could be a graphics card problem perhaps. Have you updated the drivers recently?

Just to check, are you following the correct paths to editing the CW?
In the rightmost screen, you then have to select the element(s) you want to edit before you are able to edit them.

There are also some youtube videos for how to do this that you may want to review.

Erika,

This is the procedure I followed. The problem is when I click on edit, nothing happens. It's like the edit button has no action associated to it.

If I edit the curtain wall through the Design menu then I can get into the editing mode and the menu that allows to change the visibility options of the shows up but once again none of the buttons on that menu work. Its like it doesn't recognize the menu as a "solid" element and it clicks right through it.

Try repairing, or reinstalling AC.
