I had the problem of not being able to save my large file... I would get a warning saying that there was not enough room in the "heap zone" to save. From reading some responses on this site I tried going into "Options...Preference...2d Redraw Options" and then unchecked the box labeled "Save Navigator Preview Data with Project Files" and this fixed the problem immediately.
