For some reason my quick layers palette is missing. I had shortcut commands set up also and they are no longer working. I haven't changed my work environment so I am not sure why this is happening. You miss things when your use to using them all the time. HELP!
Is your Work Environment showing as "Custom"?
If so re-apply your original WE.
If not go to the Menus section and see if you can add the command in.

I tried all the default work environments and the quick layers palette still isn't showing up. I then tried adding it to the menu and I cannot find it at all.
This issue only started occurring after the lastest hotfix last week. 6004
In the Work Environment > Command Layout Schemes > Menus: set the middle List to: All commands in alphabetical order and look for Show/Hide Quick Layers.
Ok I can see there is an issue here. For some reason its saying "The file is either not an Add-On or an outdated one that cannot be used with this ArchiCAD version".
I checked one of the other computers in our office and found their Quick layers add on and replace mine on my harddrive. I restarted my computer and all is back to normal.
I think there shouldn't be any issues with the add-ons, as I see there is more than 1 issue you have. Perhaps try reinstalling AC and doing the update again.
EDIT: Ok, I see you found it from another installation.
