Hi
I just received a brand new laptop computer, however i'm unable to run
archicad 10 on it. It starts the splash screen, and then it just appears the bug
report utility.

My pc is a asus laptop

i'm running win xp pro sp2
processor is t7200 dual core 2
2 gb of ram
the graphics are powered by a nvidea gforce go 7300

I hanven't tried other versions of the program, cause i don't have them, i've tried to uninstal and install again with no success, i've seen a similar thread on the site but i've concluded it's not my case.

I hope someone can shed some light on my problem
Thanks to everyone just for reading this

Hello,
I have the same problem, though my computer is:
P4 3,0 Prescott
512MB DDR
P4P800

Win XP Pro SP2
Djordje
Virtuoso
Did you install as Administrator or with Administrator privileges?

Is QuickTime up to date?

Were there any errors reported during the install?

Is the protection key snug in a USB port and running?

I installed AC with administrator privileges.
My quick time is up to date.
There were no errors.
I'm using the student version.

Djordje is definitely on the right track. There are often problems with Quicktime. I would recommend un-installing Quicktime and re installing to se if that helps. Don't just update it.

Then make sure that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card as well.

HTH.
Cheers.

Ok I'll try and get you know if it works.

Yes it's the Quicktime. But now I have big problem with it. I can't run it or repair it, uninstall and install new.
Any ideas? Anyone knows how to repair it?

I also have (had) the same problem (Dell M90/XP Pro/2330 mhz/2GB) and followed the steps below with no success. I went to: http://www.archicadwiki.com/TechNotes/ArchiCAD_10_Crash_on_Startup to find a solution that worked for me. Unistall program using wxvault.dll. On my computer, this was DELL management software.
Good Luck,
Brett
