WE settings -Navigators defaults to "View Sets" AC

Is there a particular reason that every time I open AC09 the navigator defaults to "View Sets" instead of "Project Map"?
I have tried almost all of the settings in WE and can't seem to find a setting that will change that to "project map". IMO it is more productive to start the Navigator in "Project Map" than "View Sets"

Why does WE reports "Palette Scheme Options" always as custom even though I have defined my settings and it is a new file and I choose default and have not changed a thing?

Why does the 2D and 3D window settings are not saved with the WE scheme? If I choose a different WE scheme the drawing windows change shape and size and they stay that way even when choosing other WE schemes.

Why when opening a new drawing the default Set up Work Environment is set to last profile used and not default? Shouldn't default be the Default? I can understand that when creating a new project after having another project open you might want to use the previous project's settings but IMHO when you define a WE it is because you have chosen the way you want AC to start and that should be the starting point.

as far as i'm aware this is saved with the file not the WE . . .

because some of the palettes don't fall under the WE rules of engagement, but are saved by position. if you move one of these you'll get a 'custom' tag. been happening since the early betas . . .

i think the drawing window size is only affected by the WE at start-up or when pressing the maximise button.

i agree, it's an a&*e-backwards way of expressing it, but if you don't change your WE very often, the 'last used profile' will always be your default anyway.

HTH a little

No, it does not. It always goes to View Sets.
Anyway I am not complaining I like 09 its just that I keep finding these little inconsistencies. The only crash I have had was in importing an ADT 2004 dwg that had an xref to itself and I didn't have the .shx fonts, and that is more of a problem of ADT than AC and specifically of the ADT user, and once I located the ADT fonts AC didn't have any problems.
Right now I am working on three projects that have different needs, one is a site presentation in which I have to export to either C4D or Artlantis, the other is mostly 2d fills and text and the third one has some custom objects and the files have to be translated from and to AutoCAD. On each type of project I have found a little detail that should be documented of AC09 working a little bit funny. At least all those details IMO are minor or just annoying and I have had no major problems, AC09 is stable I just think that I have to post them.
