RESOLVED: It was our Security software which blocked things. Changes where made and now we seem to be ok.
Since about 2 weeks, we have had the issue that files with Hotlinks do not open. Affects several users on several PCs all on Version 27. Solo projects. Files which do not have any hotlinks in it work fine.
Sometimes you are lucky and you can open the files, but most of the times not.
They come with a warning message up "A serious error has occurred while processing the project data. ArchiCAD must be closed. You then have the option to repair it. We sometimes can repair it but that does not mean you do not have the issue again with the repaired file. Graphisoft has repaired the file and that did not open either.
Any ideas?

Can the Hotlinked files themselves be opened without issue?

Yes they can be opened without problems.
Removing the hotlinks completely and putting them back again does not resolve the issue either
Thanks

It is possible that your file is corrupt.
You could try the "forward merge" method, where you start a brand new Project and merge this file into that Project file. That way, the corrupt data can be flushed out of your files. Try this and see if it works for you (forward merge, then place hotlinks into the new file.)

It seems to affect all files we have with hotlinks. Not just one.

If you create a pair of test files from the default template, and hotlink them together, do you get the issue? How about with your just your base template?

When it affects all files - could it be a path issue, some hiccup on the network side?
If you rebuild a mockup on your local drive, does that fail too?
