Apple released the new macOS 13 Ventura on 24th October 2022.
Archicad is compatible with some known issues detailed below. There are no problems regarding BIMx, and existing BIMcloud setups; on the other hand newly installed BIMcloud needs manual troubleshooting after installation. Please read the "Known issues" chapter below for more information about this and the Archicad glitches.
Affected version(s): Archicad 25 and earlier | ID: DEF-9679
Issue
Archicad installer/uninstaller removes the first dock icons after the Finder (Given the Finder is the most left one). The issue happens only in Archicad 25 and earlier versions, but not in Archicad 26.Workaround
The icons need to be manually docked again.Affected version(s): All Archicad version(s) | ID: DEF-11012
Issue
In Archicad 26 and earlier versions, the line types can no longer be changed with the mouse (the cursor). This affects existing projects as well as new projects on window/dialog where the line type can be set, walls, slabs, fills, and so on.
Workaround
When the line type pop-up dialog appears, use the Arrow Key to change the line types and not the mouse.
Solution
This issue is fixed in an Archicad 26 and Solo update (403x build) Archicad 25 update (60xx).
Affected version(s): All Archicad version(s) | ID: DEF-11093
Issue
Input issue when moving an element with a manually given distance in the Tracker: the first number gets highlighted and overwritten by the second typed character.
Workaround
Press the Tab or arrow key before typing the numbers manually.Solution
This issue is fixed in an Archicad 26 and Solo update (403x build) Archicad 25 update (60xx).
Affected version(s): Fresh new BIMcloud setup
Issue
The issue occurs on fresh new installations if any of the BIMcloud folders (e.g. Projects) are configured to be stored on a custom location. On macOS 13 Ventura, the BIMcloud installer cannot add BIMcloud to the Full Disk Access settings, so BIMcloud does not get the necessary permissions to access the customized folders. If this happens, BIMcloud cannot be started until the Full Disk Access is set properly.
This issue does NOT affect existing BIMcloud installations. If BIMcloud was installed before upgrading to Ventura, there are no issues.
Workaround:
Full Disc Access needs to be set up manually after the BIMcloud installation process:
1. Start the System Settings (used to be System Preferences),
2. Select Security & Privacy then Full Disk Access,
3. Click on the + icon to add new components
4. In the new dialog, browse for the following components and add them one by one:
Components required for operation:
BIMcloud Manager:
TeamworkPortalServerManager
/Applications/Graphisoft/BIMcloud/Manager-<Install Date>/TeamworkPortalServerManager
BIMcloud Server:
TeamworkApplicationServerMonitor
/Applications/Graphisoft/BIMcloud/Server-<Install Date>/TeamworkApplicationServerMonitor
There is no known issues in BIMx Desktop viewer from the version 4025.

We will keep this article updated with any news, fixes, workarounds, issues, or limitations as we continue using macOS 13 Ventura.
Hi @Selen Kovacs,
looks like there is an issue with AC26 INT 4019 on Ventura - with the Line/Arc/Polyline/Spline Tools - when defining a line type, You have to move the cursor to the far left of the screen to be able to select the type you wish (the selection does not follow the cursor).
You can actually select the line types, the cursor placement is just massively offset. If you move to the left hadn side of the dialogue box and move the cursor up and down the screen, the selection row of the line types moves up and down too. Using the arrow key is far easier though.
Hello, I just updated to Ventura and noticed an issue with AC 26. (4022 AUT) aswell as the latest Apple Silicon Tech Preview:
After Tool Selection (For example Wall, Slab, but also Line, Arc/Circle...) the first number input (to define length for example) is highlighted and then deleted by the second number input. (example: to get "10" I have to type "110"). This behavior started right after updating and is really annoying because it seems to occur quit randomly. Please let me know if this behavior can be changed in settings.
(M1 Pro Macbook)
@a_shrtlr I'm having the same issue, also on M1 Ventura after upgrading. The problem is on AC 25 too.
It isn't consistent though. Occasionally, the distance value doesn't highlight itself.
About the Line-Type selection dialog: you can toggle/scroll and select with the arrow keys (up and down) from the keyboard.
I still don’t understand why AC24 doesn’t get an update for obvious problems. Why last 3 versions are not supported? Architectural projects continue at least 2-3 years and so the support should. There is no easy way to upgrade a project yet.
I’ve upgraded all of our office projects from 23 and 24 to 26 with no real issues.
Where these issues addressed in the recently released Archicad 26 Update 2? Please advise.
No, not all of them yet. I think there will be an update early in the new year that will fix them.
Really needing to update to Ventura soon. Any official word on compatibility yet from GS on when it is expected?
I’m running Ventura with AC26 and other than the documented issues I haven’t experienced any problems really.
Same here. Running Ventura with AC26 is fine. No other issues than the already reported ones.
So for me the linetype workaround is not an issue, but as a data entry heavy user for the tracking box, how do you that are using Ventura feel about the workaround of having to constantly tab to enter data? I think that would really peeve me. Thanks for the input guys!
