There is no reason that this should happen, other than some kind of network sharing permissions thing.

Are the systems completely independent, stand alone computers?

What message to you get when you attempt to open the project from the XP system?

Thank for the replay, but the file opens right until the end and then it just shout off the program and the bug report pops up.

Strange indeed. If the file still does that, you may want to zip a copy of it to send to technical support so that they can determine if it is a file corruption, or a bug.

When Bug Reporter popped up, did you fill in the description of what you were doing and submit it? If so, you would get a crash ID that you should submit with your file so that GS can match your file with all of the crash data that they received.

That this happens at the very end of opening makes me wonder if it is either some kind of library or library path issue, or perhaps some data from a 3rd party add-on which might be installed on the XP system but not the Vista one, or if the ArchiCAD build number is not identical on both systems...

Out of curiosity: verify that the build numbers are the same (Help > About) and that you have the most recent hotfixes (Help > Check for Updates), save the file as an archive (PLA) on the Vista system and see if the XP system can open the PLA. That will at least eliminate library parts and/or paths from the equation.

Cheers,
Karl

Thank you everyone. Right now I solved the problem using a backup file from our system and in the windows vista file I copied all the details into a worksheet and transferred in the backup file previously retrieved. I want to sent the file to GS and find out what the problem was.
Thanks again for all your help.
