save/open changes in file

i have a strange happening with AC8.1. recently, when i save and close a file, and then reopen it, the drawings notes and dimensions are very large - much larger than they were entered as. also, all my wall fills disappear, leaving empty blacklined walls.

does anyone have an explanation and a fix for this?

also, in the Navigator Bar under View Settings, it appears you can change how each View Set appears. 🙂
