The door objects included in ArchiCAD since V10 have had metal "commercial" door objects. These work fairly well in representing metal or wood core doors in Hollow Metal frames. However they have ignored a basic door type common in most Schools, Hospitals and other institutional buildings....the Double Egress door. We can find no way to make this door type with the objects included.
This is yet another example of where ArchiCAD is falling behind in my opinion. The basic function of the software is still superior to the alternatives, however the ability to correctly model the working components in institutional building types is lacking currently and falling behind rapidly. Another example of this is the ability to model correctly a simple Hollow Metal Frame re-lite....again a very common element in institutional buildings.
