The easiest way is to Label the object.
Simply choose Label Object in the settings of the object and depending on which label you have chosen, you can show the ID as text in the floorplan.
Set the default by double clicking the label tool. (set the ID label as standard for the object-tool)

It takes scripting GDL in the 2D Script window, the command is TEXT2, search for it in the GDL Reference Guide. You should be able to find examples in the scripting of objects that have parametric text.
