I have a need to draw a tower that will be used repeatedly though some of the info inside will change, like: height and width of various parts as well as text and claddings. is there somewhere i can find info on how to write the script for this in particular?

While the manual explains the syntax, David Nicholson-Cole's "GDL Cookbook" has for years been the guide for creating objects. Unfortunately, it has been out of print for some time, while David works on a revision.

PS Do take a look at David's book on Object Making that is also included in the online help (and in PDF format on the installation CD for US users, and in the Documentation folder for other countries).

Don't be intimidated.

A parametric tower would be a good GDL exercise to start with!

No, not like you gave away a secret. I mean that David seems to have published his book on the net.
