Grid disappears from Worksheet

Hi guys

Did anyone have the issue of the grid system disappearing from the worksheet where it was pasted from the plan? It works for some time, being there, being editable as individual grid objects, and then it simply disappears, usually at a send/receive or a placed drawing update. You can only see it disappearing.

I know the grid tool is greyed out and cannot be used in a worksheet, but it is an object, and objects can be used.

THere was an old topic on a similar subject... https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Documentation/GRID-ELEMENT-AND-WORKSHEET/m-p/330686

If they show up again, I am exploding them... if not, oh well, rework it is...

Operating system used: Windows 11

The fact that the Grid Element tool is disabled in Worksheet type Viewpoints would indicate to me that it is an invalid element type in Worksheets, so it makes sense that they are deleted.

I would argue that the Grid Element element type is not like the Object element type, and it is not even a GDL-based element type like the Object, Door, Window, etc. tools are, which are all fully GDL-based element types.

Rather, it is an element type that uses Library Parts as some of its sub elements (the two Markers on the two ends of grid element line), plus it generates some addtional 2D/3D geometry. In that sense, and based on its level of complexity, I would say it is similar to the Section tool.

So yes, probably the best way to go about this is to explode them and copy-paste them into the Worksheet.
