License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Modules, Symbols and Repeating Elements

Our firm is test-driving ArchiCAD to see if we want to make the switch and we are running a pilot project. We are trying to figure out how to create re-usable objects at large and small scales, such that modifying one will modify all instances of the same object, or symbol. I have found some old posts from several years ago that suggest this must be done using separate files known as modules, however it is important that we be able to work on these symbols within the main project file so we can see them in context of what is around them. Has ArchiCAD evolved in this area yet to allow this? Seems like pretty basic functionality.
Thanks

Not sure what your "reusable object is" but in Archicad you can create 2D and 3D object that when changed will update all placed elements. Hot Link Modules will do the same think but are larger scale, think hotel room that is linked multiple times to create the model.

What is the reusable object that you are trying to create?
