You could open the script (CTRL+SHFT+O) for the fireplace object.
Open the 3D script and have a look at line 100 to see what it is asking for - i.e. what parameters are being used for that line.

No need to count the lines just open the 3D script and press CTRL+L and type in '100'.

Otherwise it is a case of trying to spot which parameter is causing the problem in the placed object.
Look for zero or negative lengths and heights.

Or start with a new fireplace object and change it to suit what you need.

Have the preview set to 3D while you adjust the object and you will see when them error message appears or disappears.

Just out of interest I had a look at the object and line 100 is placing a PRISM with a height of "d".

prism 4,d,
a/2,-b/2,
a/2,-b/2-e,
-a/2,-b/2-e,
-a/2,-b/2

So the "d" parameter could be your problem (but I tested and it is not - it is one of the other parameters in this prism command).

d = Flush Hearth Height

Or it could be the a, b or e parameters in the rest of the prism command.

a = the length.
b = depth.
e = Flush Hearth Offset

I doubt it would be the length or depth as you wouldn't see the fireplace at all in plan or 3D.
My bet would be on the Flush Hearth Offset.
