I have an object that is filled in purple but within the setting I have empty fill selected and the outline colors I have green selected. I dont know how to turn the purple off because I dont even have that color selected anywhere within the settings, let alone I have empty fill selected. Any ideas on how to get this fill to go away?? Thanks for any help!

Please post the exact name of the object and the version of ArchiCAD it is from.

FireplaceChim, I'm using it in AC11 (although it was created in AC10 I believe) It was an object that I aquired from someone else. I dont believe it was a standard object from ArchiCad. It doesnt do this in AC10, just AC11.

Since we don't have the part to look at, then diagnosing the problem blind is difficult. If you have tried all the available options in the Parameters section and the Floor Plan and Section area of the object's dialog box, then I suspect the fill and/or pen settings are written into the 2D Script and are not user controlled variables. Since this part worked in version 10, I suspect that either the Pen Set or Fill index number has been changed when moving from version 10 to 11. To test the Pen Set, use the Attribute Manager... to add the Pen Set from a working 10 file to your 11 file, then change to this Pen Set for your Model View and see if this corrects the problem. If the issue is the Fill index number, you could try using the Attribute Manager... to append the working fill from the 10 file into the 11 file, but this is more of a hit or miss proposition.

Jdenis,

Have you ticked the 'Enable Objects Linetypes', 'Pens' & 'Attributes' tickboxes in the Floor Plan and Section settings?

If they are unticked, whatever settings relating to the 2d display you change in the object, they will appear to have no effect.

If the part is badly coded and still wont work, you should be able to over-ride it with these settings.

Hope that helps!
