Toggle GS Window Wallhole

Hi all,

Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing that allows you to toggle off the 3D wall contour for the GS doors and / or windows?

Is it this setting you are after?

I don't see a setting for the side wall opening lines (jambs) in the GS windows.
I know they can be controlled in the wall composite settings, but that is not on a per window basis.

I know it can still be controlled by GDL with the 'AC_WallContours' parameter.

Woops. Forgot the key point. Looking to toggle the 3D wall contour.

Anyway, I have figured out that I do not need this function. Creating my own WALLHOLE with all edges off overrides any overlapping WALLHOLE 3D contours created by the GS objects.

I don't think you can with GS windows.
I can't see a setting for it - but I don't use these windows usually.
The 3D wallhole seems to be controlled by the actual wall 'Uncut Line Pen'.
But of course changing that will affect the entire wall perimeter and all windows/doors in it.

I think this is the checkbox that you are looking for.
It is located in the "Compatibility Options" Dialog of the "Details" page of the GDL Editor.

I didn't think of looking in there.

Yes if you can script your own wallholes, you will have better control.
Actually you can use a wallnice - one facing externally and the other facing internally.
Then you can control the pens and materials separately for each.
And I have taken it one step further with an option for 2 wallniches externally so I can have an adjustable split in the materials to match complex profile walls with different materials.

Editing existing objects is not viable. I am just messing around with a skin return object that you would place over the top of GS doors and windows for section representation.
