Does anyone still have this object? will she work in AC16?, can we change the color of her dress to White?

Kate, the Woman in Red Dress, has aged along with the rest of us, but what she lacks in polygons she still makes up for in style. I found her and her Goth sister Vicki in the old "People and More" library from ArchiCAD 6.5. Vicki might be persuaded to wear a white dress for a day or two if you make her the right offer.

Unfortunately they both came into ArchiCAD 16 with lots of error messages and no feet. I converted them to into morphs, added some shoes and loaded them both into a single object file with parameters for positions (standing, walking, leaning) and materials.

Look for "Woman in Red" in Bim Components.

To get rid of the errors, open the object, go to the 3D script and use the Find&Replace command, from the Edit menu.
Search: .e
Replace: e

When I open the library part, the entire 3D Script is:
if treed=0 then end
MULX	A/0.460000
MULY	B/0.706308
MULZ	zzyzx/1.7
Binary 1
DEL top
So this fix is not available in the US version.
When viewing the object I got the same error messages in AC16 as David Collins, but worked properly when viewed in AC 7.

I was referring to the object from BIMcomponents, loaded by David Collins. Downloading it, I get a very long script, where some numbers are in a erroneous "exponential" format, that is probably supported in older versions. Here an example:
1.55e3 = 1550
1.05e3 = 1050
1.00e3 = 1000 (correct, it can also be 1e3)
1.e3 = 1000 (is the same of the previous, but a decimal point without digits after it is reported as an error)

This is very strange. The new script was generated entirely by ArchiCAD 16.

I can find instances of both the ".e" and the "e" exponential notation in the 3d script, but no error messages here.

Great to see old objects come to life with the help of the Morph Tool.
David, you might also experiment with the Curve & Merge Edges and the Smooth & Merge Faces commands of the Morph Tool to create a less blocky appearance.

This did occur to me, but I didn't want to spoil her classical retro style. Besides, a girl's gotta watch her polygons...
