Cloud Licenses and Graphisoft ID Inaccessible

Anyone else having issues accessing Archicad this afternoon? All of our users have been locked out with unavailable licenses and it seems Graphisoft ID and License Manager websites are down, I suspect the two are linked. Interested to understand how widespread an issue this is.

It happens occasionally and is unbelievably disruptive. I think Graphisoft need to find a way of licenses checking less frequently or knowing the system is down so it won't lock Archicad out straightaway and give time for the systems to be brought back online.

For a list of Graphisoft hosts that an Archicad workstation computer needs to be able to communicate with, please see the “Secure communication via Graphisoft products” Graphisoft Community article here. Should the cybersecurity protection of your Internet service provider (ISP) that detects malware or phishing erroneously block *.graphisoft.com hosts, disabling that should allow for working around the issue. If the issue clears by disabling the cybersecurity protection of your ISP, then for resolution of the issue, your ISP's support team may guide you on how to allow connection to the hosts with the cybersecurity protection enabled by adding the hosts to an allow list. Or they may correct the issue with the cybersecurity protection so that it doesn't flag the hosts as being malicious.

It just happened to us again...

Anyone else?

Not yet. Still up in DC.

Does anyone have a handle on if our ISP connection were to go down, are we able to keep working without a connection to the GS server? I know this is s slightly different situation than what is happening in this thread, but something that has kept me up at night recently.

No, this is pretty much what we talk about in this thread.

The problem is that if you have floating licenses, and you lose connection to the GS servers, it shuts down immediately. So, if you lost internet connection, Archicad would also lose the license.

With named/borrowable licenses however, you can go offline and it won't lose the license for about a week.

Hi everyone,

As we mentioned before - and in line with our earlier messages from Tamas and Gordana - we wanted to follow up with an update on some of the work we have been doing.

We have recently implemented several improvements to enhance the reliability and performance of our licensing services. You can read the full update here: Improved reliability of our licensing services

Thank you for your patience and feedback!

Kind regards,

Niki

Dear All,

We have been working hard on addressing the issues during licensing outages. Thanks to your input, the latest Archicad 29.1.0 update and the BIMcloud SaaS April release now include improvements that help keep you working smoothly, even during temporary service interruptions.

Using Archicad 29.1.0, you can continue working with cloud licenses even if a license service outage occurs.

This is just the first step; we are continuously working on strengthening reliability, so you can focus on your projects, not on licensing.

You’ll find more information about this in our Community Insight post.

Best regards,

Hej Tamas,

just to be clear - is this improvement restricted only to AC 29 ( with the 29.1.0 update) on BIMcloud SaaS?

Does it work for

-AC27 on BIMcloud Saas?

-AC29 on BIMcloud 2026.1 or basic?

-AC27 on BIMcloud 2026.1 or basic?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi @AlexV

This feature is currently available only for cloud license-based Archicad 29.1.0 and BIMcloud SaaS. Unfortunately, it is not supported for Archicad 28 or earlier versions, nor for BIMcloud Basic.
For previous Archicad versions using CodeMeter software or hardware licenses, the grace period will still apply on the BIMcloud SaaS side in the event of a cloud license outage. This is because Archicad key-based licensing and BIMcloud SaaS licensing operate independently of each other, meaning you can continue using your key-based Archicad 27 with BIMcloud SaaS without interruption.

I hope this helps!

Best regards,
Tamás

Thank you,

it clarifies things, it is actually the way the release post reads: AC29 & SaaS, I just wanted to double check.

Given that you say cloud licences specifically with AC29.1.0, does that imply that the GSLM is being depreciated since licence management is being handled by AC rather than the licence manager?
