Graphisoft store down ? Can't buy license

Hey,

We currently have 2 licenses for Archicad 27.  A new started just arrived in the office and we need to purchase another seat, no problem.
I log onto the graphisoft site, get forwarded to the store where I'm met with the message:

'Dear Customer,

Due to an unforeseen technical issue with one of our global service providers, the Graphisoft Store is currently unavailable. We are working closely with the provider to resolve this matter promptly.

Please note: this issue does not impact the uninterrupted service of running Archicad, Archicad Collaborate and BIMcloud SaaS subscriptions in any way. We are working to restore the full functionality of our webstore as quickly as possible and will provide you updates as new information becomes available.

This issue only restricts the ability for purchases in the store. Existing account data can still be accessed. To purchase Graphisoft products, please contact a local partner.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!'

Our office is in thailand, so I contacted the reseller in Bangkok and.........they use the same system as us.  So they cannot purchase the license either.

This has been going on for nearly 2 weeks so im wondering whats going on?  I can't find anything else online regarding the issue, so thought I'd trouble the forums.

Any information on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

What is going on with Graphisoft?

Im in Thailand.  The store is still down and we have been told to speak to our local resellers.  We want to buy a seat of Archicad Solo/Studio on the monthly payment plan (like we currently have).  However this option is apparently not possible through the reseller.

Can someone from Graphisoft tell me what we are meant to do in this situation as our other seats are coming up for renewal and this is not getting resolved.  I hate to say it but AutoCad maybe the way forward for us.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi aazmataaz3k,

Does anyone have an update?

It's now 4 months after the original post and as of today we are unable to purchase ArchiCAD in the US.

Licenses can't currently be purchased online via Graphisoft's web store. We contacted the Graphisoft North America, Inc. who did call us back but said purchases can't be completed on their end either. They gave us the number for ARCHVISTA Consulting (our SF Bay Area local  reseller) who did not pick up or respond to voicemails.

We recently hired an employee with extensive ArchiCAD experience and they have been stuck doing unbillable busy work for two weeks while we try to sort this out.

Needless to say, this is a huge red flag for firms thinking of investing in the ArchiCAD platform. All the marketing and software development in the world is useless if the product is unavailable.

The persistence of this problem suggests that the messaging about a "service partner" being responsible for a technical issue may be PR spin masking an underlying business issue that could jeopardize customers' ability to run the software.

A solution would be ideal, but at this point an explanation is certainly required.

It is ridiculous that this still hasn't been resolved, 8 months later. Along with the discontinuation of Solo, this is the reason my office is now in the process of migrating to Revit LT (£60+VAT pcm), as licenses can be easily bought online without having to email/phone someone up within business hours.

It's a shame as I always preferred ArchiCAD but this is a shambolic system which is no doubt losing a lot of customers.
