I'm not sure what your question are, but AutoCad is far away from being the ultimate cad software for buildings. ArchiCad and other cadsoftware that work with objects instead of blocks of 2d line / 3d polys are a much better.
But all real 3d software (Autodesk ADT are not a real 3d modelling cadsoftware) creates "faked" 2d views, so 2d drawings created from a 3d model often have much more info twice and trippled than 2d drawings created in 2d. But why work in 2d when you can do all that and much more in 3d?
