AC 17 to 18

I started a small job in 18 earlier using my template from AC 17, but noticed that features (multi sash window) are missing.
Is there a procedure to use my existing template and have all the new features or do I need to make a new template from fresh with a new AC 18 file?

I assume 'multi sash window' is an object.
Do you have that object library loaded?

Or maybe it is controlled by an add-on?
If so you will need that add-on loaded.

Your old files should work just as they did before (assuming you have the same add-ons loaded for 18 that you had in 17) with the exception that a whole bunch of new Building Material attributes that get automatically created (which comprise of the fill, pen colours, priority strength and surface (old material in 17)).

Multi sash window is an AC 18 new feature, it was the new interior elevation tool I wanted to use for this job, that does seem to be there though.

You will need to load the 18 library for the multi sash window then.
If you open an old 17 job it is probably still loading the 17 library.
I believe there is a 17 migration library you can load together with the 18 library - you can then remove the old 17 library.
Not 100% certain as I don't use the Archicad libraries myself.
