AC18 - Slab composite object becomes facetted?

my slab made of a composite building material is facetted on the curved showing not the edge material rather the interior material.
How to fix?

Is your slab begin affected by anything else? Perhaps you have a beam or a wall that is also trying to be in this plane and is forcing your edge material to be hidden?

I don't think so....but I'll check.
I think I'm going to have to create a "wall object" where instead of using building material type of construction, it'll just be a complex profile with the outter skin of the profile dropping to below the slab thickness to cover up this facetting issue.
