Dear ArchiCAD-Talkers,

We have released Hotfix 1086 for ArchiCAD 11. It applies to Commercial, Trial and Educational licenses, and is currently available for INT and USA language versions. To download the Hotfix, please use "Check for updates..." command in Help menu.

Before installing the Hotfix, please take a moment to read the Release Notes!

Files with hotlinked modules may open unusually slow for the first time, as a result of a critical bugfix. This is normal, and happens at the first opening. After saving such a file, you might notice that the file gets significantly smaller.

A note for Grid Tool users: This Hotfix is a must-have for Grid Tool users. It fixes several functionality bugs, as well as some frequent crashes.

The grey ones. I don't think the fireheads are evil, maybe confused relating to the earth, but not evil.

I can open another secession here.

OK, this seems to be a WIBU driver issue. I quit my ArchiCAD session and now I can't start it back up w/out the same WIBU error message. I will investigate further.

OK, I went to the WIBU folder inside the ArchiCAD 11 folder and found the only thing in there was a zipped (compressed) file. I unzipped it - it was a WIBU installer - which I ran. Now everything works as it should. Could the hotfix update have done that?

Unfortunately, the Plot Setup dialog needs to be re-set after applying the Hotfix. This is a side-effect caused by a necessary bugfix. To learn more about this, please read:
http://archicadwiki.com/plotter_preferences
The article also describes how to recover the settings, in case you don't remember the settings.

Further Hotfixes will not cause such problems. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I have also added this to the Hotfix Release Notes. Rick, thanks for pointing this out.
