Archicad 10 hotfix (build 987) is out now

We have released a hotfix for Archicad 10 (build 987) for the PC and Mac PowerPC platform (The Intel mac version released 2 days ago is compiled from this build too, so Intel Mac users don't need to install this). Some language versions (e.g. NZE, FRA, FIN) are not yet available, but will be uploaded early next week. The patch applies to the education licences too.

I would of though any crashing bug reported to GS would be at the top of the priority list to be fixed.
John,

We will check this, but please also make sure you report this bug to your local tech support.

And please always submit your bug reports! Each Hotfix contains the fixes for the most frequent crashes. So the more a type of crash is submitted, the better the chances are for a fix. Crashes are not always listed in the "Fixed bug list" , since most of them don't have a comprehensible description. Nevertheless, each hotfix contains several of them.

Thanks
This has been reported twice to my local rep. This is the third attempt to report the bug. I also reported directly to GS via the crash bug report application.

I have also previously tried to discuss this in the forums but since no-one responded to my comments and since this isnt deemed to be a common problem I can only assume that the label tool is so quirky that no one uses it.

Also often a bug is notified in the forum and as a result usually only one person reports the bug through the "correct" channel but that doesnt necessarily mean it hasnt effected significant number of people.

Anyway I am pleased to seem have have gotten onto your bug database

Some more testing:
Even though you cant see them - add an object label to an object in section. Save as a quick view and add to a layout. It will crash Archicad when updating.

Confirmed
GS fix this up ASAP, we are using the label tool extensively in plans/sections/elevations although we are labeling just structural elements like walls, slabs etc, rarely objects (that's why I have not picked that up).

one more thing with the label tool - it tends to uncheck the 'label elements' check box after moving/changing label type or ID of an element AND at the same time keeps the label on, so to get that fixed we have to click on the check box (label disappears - the check box is ON) and then click that off and back on again. I can hear screaming of our drafties - 'where is me bloody label' in my dreams already.

Yes you probably heard my screams from Adelaide. Also sometimes it turns off when you change the ID as well. Apart from the quirks I like labels

it took me three attempts to install the hotfux. after wading through various IFC and 3rd party add-on un-installs i finally get done only to find the finder 'Get Info' tags still showing build 966 and the 'grid tool' and 'polycount' add-ons no longer load.

took me half an hour to muddle and mess around with things that the installers should handle. who do i bill for my time?

could graphisoft's release manager actually start to manage things in the future please?
