Batt Insulation

I see that there is a line type for batt insulation, but it is only for a 2x4 wall. Is there any way that this line can be modified for a 2x6 wall or for 12" insulation. I tried to modify the line, but I can't seem to make stretch beyond the 3 1/2". Or does anyone have these lines that they'd be willing to share? Thanks.

Just go into "line types" select the "batt 3.5" line type, select "new" and duplicate the line and rename it, then just adjust the "dash" portion to suit your wall thickness etc.

Hope it helps,

You may also want to check out Oliver Dentan's insulation object found on his web site at:
http://pagesperso-orange.fr/archilib.od/index.html

The benefit is that he has written the object w/ graphical hotspots that allow you to trim the ends of the insulation to match conditions such as would be seen in a typical eave. You can also graphically adjust the thickness, and the loop size.

Very useful.

Correct. Forget the lines.
