Beam/Wall Complex Profile Interaction

pbg

Howdy,

I have a complex profile which can be used for a wall or beam. When used as a beam, it shows up correctly in section over a composite wall. When used as a wall, the fill disappears behind the composite wall. Same layers/layer priority, same junction priority.

What am I missing?

Thank you.

I am assuming that the building material strength for the square complex profile is stronger than those used in the walls, otherwise the beam would not have cut the wall.

So that is good.

As the walls ar running parallel with each other and their reference lines are not interacting, that may be why there is no trim.

Is it just a case of display order, bring the complex profile forward?

Thanks Barry!

Yes, the building material strength is higher.

No, changing the display order doesn't make any difference...

However, it must have something to do with the reference line. If the wall complex profiles are aligned with the composite wall, then it will show in section. If they aren't along the same plane, they won't... Thoughts as to why this is?

It seems walls only interact with each other when there reference lines cross.
