I've a SEO question, is in what condition or element can be use SEO?
I've try subtract a sphere(object) to a slab,it's work but when I try a bottle(object) to cut the slab, it's not work, Is that bottle too complex??
Or Is any way to do if I want a hole cut in slab like bottle mould in slab,
not noly cut bottle shape in slab.

What tool (plug-in) was used for bottle creation?

Some library parts may not be true solids. That could be the case with your bottle.

When my bottle object was set very smooth, an attempt to use it as an operator against the slab was unsuccessful. It sat there for a long time (with spinning cursor), and the slab remained unchanged when it finished. Pushing the bottle smoothness down resulted in the image you see and finished reasonably quickly.
How do you do that?

And how do you usually create a ball

Scrat wrote:The bottle shapes were made by drawing half their cross-section with the polyline tool and creating a lathe profile with OBJECTiVE. I drew two different profiles because I wasn't sure which case the original question referred to (see the attached image). One profile creates a solid blob, the other is hollow inside (as a real bottle would be). The effect with SEOs is quite different in each case, but the critical step was to make sure the objects weren't too smooth (the SEO would fail).
I know how to make object but what was asking is how do you create that ball-shape part (top of the bottle).
And how do you usually create a ball
I create a ball or sphere by just drawing a half-circle and profiling it with OBJECTiVE.

Would you agree that, in case someone does not have Objective,
the exact same procedure as you describe works with
Archicad's Profiler using the revolve construction method ?
Thanks,

You are right Profiler does not support those things except
for resolution of arcs which now can be set in the magic wand settings.
I think this is only true for the resolution of the path but not the
resolution of a shape done with the revolve command.
Your discovery that SEO does not work if the "smoothness",
or as I take it polygon count, is too high is a surprise to me and
my explain why some library parts I have made do not SEO
with anything when used as operators. These parts were made
with the mass command and have high polygon counts.
Thank you for the tip.

Sorry I reply late, and thanks ,that's exactly what I want to do,
Now I know the problem is that if I profile the object in solid then I can cut it in slab, right ,
Thank again , you are really genius, javascript:emoticon(':P')
