If it needs to be a library object, has anybody else experienced and / or addressed this?
It would be great to have the ability to see and understand point loads being transferred from above.

You can use the ghost story just to see them, but if you wanted them to be part of your plan, you may have to upgrade to 10 and use cut planes to show stuff below.
The column tool doesn't have a show on stories option, but the object tool does. So you could use an object to show on different stories.

Not ready to upgrade yet. Still finding out cool stuff in 9.
I did some further searching around this post late last night and found some other options. Slab tool, MASTERPOST_WD from Objects Online, or venture a little further ino GDL and create a new libraray part.
Still requesting advice on that last one.
