Complex Wall Material Fill not in sync

I can't seem to figure out how to get these material lines to match up. The materials line up for Basic Walls and Composite Walls, but this Complex Wall that I created doesn't seem to allow the fills to be in the same direction. Is there any way this can be fixed?

You don't say what version of Archicad you are working with.
Please add this and your operating system to the signature in your profile so it appears automatically on all posts.
The answer varies slightly depending on the version you are using.

In 17+ you set the orientation of the fill in the Building Materials settings dialogue.
You have a choice of 'Project origin' or 'Element origin'.
There is also a 'Fit to skin' option that is only available for symbol fills.

In version prior to 17 it can only be set for composites in the composite settings dialogue.
