Conceptual design training

I am in the process of switching from Revit to Archicad and am following the training guides to start learning Archicad.
I am up to the 2nd training module - Conceptual design and on the PDF for this module am up to the 'Splitting the Morph' part but can't seem to figure this out. It is quite vague in the PDF and the video relating to this module on the YouTube channel is just a sped up video of someone performing the tasks without showing what they are actually doing.

Can someone help me with this?

I have selected 'offset' for the editing plane but there are no instructions for how far to offset and I cannot get the 'blue snap guide' to appear by 'hovering over the apparent intersection line of the morph and the editing plane'

Have you tried splitting it in plan view using Alt & S, much easier.

It looks like that By now this volume of the Archicad training series is the only one that doesn't have the corresponding narrated videos. But in the PDF you have in page 45 you will see a link that will take you to the video playlist of the morph tool. In those videos you will learn a lot about how to use morph and how to Split it.
