Construction material priority through windows

Greatings!

I must say it surprises me i couldn't find any other post talking about this, plz let me know if someone else already has this problem.

So... i love construction materials i've been playing around with them and they are all what graphisoft promised... BUT! all my satisfaction disappears just when i try to keep material priorities when doing a section through a window... its just imposible! When i have a window a wall and a slab meeting at the same point everything is ruined. In the image attached you can see whats going on, the left side shows exactly how the wall and the slab should behave but when i place my opening over the slab the isolation gets ruined with the slabs superior elements (dont know how to say in english sorry).

Im i missing something? cant anyone reproduce the problem?

Thanks in advance!

I may be able to help explain it a little. With doors between room we needed to automatically extend the opening below the door so that the floor finishes would continue between rooms - otherwise you'd see part of the wall between the rooms. The situation you describe I think is that you want the opposite. The extension of the opening only occurs (from memory) when the base of the opening is at the same level as the top of the floor and the automatic extension only occurs to the Core of that Slab.

Thanks James for your answer!

Know i understand better the reason for this behavior. Actually is natural when we talk about doors but it would be great if we had the option to control this behavior, at least for windows because is really frustrating when you start to add elements to the window.

So if i'm not wrong there is no workaround (yet) for this issues, no? If not i'll have to patch... i was so close
