Doors/windows insertion point in Favorites

Has anyone out there a solution for this problem?:

If I record a door as a favorite, and attribute the insertion point relative to the story( and not to the basis of the wall, because that can vary with type of walls), then if I insert that favorite door on a different story it keeps it's reference to the original one, even if I deactivate insertion point in the favorite Preferences panel.

Thank you

Ok, it looks as if this only happens when you modify a Favorite Door, not when you create it from scratch, so the trick is to delete and redo.

Nope, it´s a problem all right.
If the insertion point is to the story (not the base of the wall), then the favorites relate to a specific story, and can only be used in that story.
Any ideas?

It is a problem. Checking/un-checking the anchor point parameter in the Favorites preferences for door and windows has no effect that I have noticed.

My work around is to save the favorite, but before placing on a new story change the anchor point to the correct story.

It does seem fixed in 13.

Finally a reason to upgrade. Hurrah!

I think there are a lot of good reasons to upgrade to 13, especially TW2.

For an office, no doubt. For a single user, not really...

Not quite Miguel, I am solo and have relished this new innovation.
It wasn't 'til about week 6 in beta that the penny dropped, with me.
The opportunities that present are enormous.
My son has just also gone solo and we are enjoying TW2 immensely.

I understand the rationale behind the job creating opportunity for single users.

I also understand the need for ArchiCAD to make this point, so as not antagonize a large user base that pay upgrades before they come out.

I even understand that, for some of us loners, this might be true.

But, in my case, and considering my personal work flow, type of clients, type of collaborators, responsibilities, liabilities, design market, economic crisis and the whole caboodle, TW2 does not add an ounce to my competitiveness.

That said, my other persona (BIM consultant on a big Construction Company) loves TW2.
