Earth fill

Hi!

In a renovation project, i have a part where there was a small wall that has been demolished, which left a hole in it. Im having troubles understanding the mechanics of how can i push that earth to the stair level.

Do i have to make some earth material and fill that gap? Couldnt i just simply push the level of the earth below to ground level? problem is there are no nodes in the bottom part of the pit/hole that allow me to push it up directly, a bit like you do in Sketchup.

Seems like you are using Solid Element Operations to subtract the demolished wall from the mesh. While Renovation Filters do not affect the behaviour of SEO's, Design Options do.

So one way to solve your problem would be to assign the wall to a Design Option, that is shown in the Existing and Demolition views, but deactivated it in the proposed views. In this way the mesh won't show the operation when the wall is hidden by the Design Option setting.

So how would i do that? Assing that specific wall to a layer that does not show on the "proposed" view?

Hey! Thanks a lot for this video!

I got it to work, but now i have doubts regarding the saved view. Do you mean to save a 3D view of the model without the wall? or you mean plans and sections?

Cause i know you can save the setting for a plan or section, but not for the 3D (i normally use 3D/All). Sorry, im a beginner, still learning a lot.

in the picture i show the planned phase (last phase), and its already working with/without the wall.

Hello Zendrix,

De Seo-operations will only be visible in section & 3d view not in planview. Nevertheless  the best practice is to save all views (plans, section, 3d views, 3d documents etc...) with proper view settings >>  layercombinations, scale, designoptions etc... All the settings saved in a view.   

For this, you will have to make layer combinations but also design option combinations, otherwise the view setting is saved as custom and you have less control over this.
