Easy way to change arrow tool selection methods?

Is there a way to toggle between arrow tool selection methods? By selection methods, I mean between needing to draw a selection box around a piece of an element versus the entire element, like AutoCad used to do depending on the way you started to move your cursor relative to the first click. Would love not to have to click the icon to change the method.

It's discussed in the "Wishes" forum, but I can't find any evidence that a shortcut can be created.

Many thanks.

Unfortunately still no such keyboard shortcut. Pity.

No keyboard shortcut, but WE DO have that kind of behavior, I mean the selection mode based on the direction, in addiction to the "always only entirely enclosed" and "always partly enclosed too" modes.
From ArchiCAD 12 or 13.

AFAIK that was specifically copied from Autocad in either R11 or R12.
