License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. Fill origin for Complex Profile Wall

Sorry for peppering the forum with queries but they're coming thick and fast.

As far as I'm aware, are you not able to move/align the fill/hatch on an elevation in Archicad like you can in Revit?

If not, how do you control the origin of the fill please?

I have a complex profile wall where I'd like the fill for the material at high level to start where the material starts.

Just thought I'd bump this as I need to tidy up my elevations.

Currently for my complex profile wall, the origin for the upper material is set from the base of the whole wall, rather than the base of the upper material.

Is there a way to change this please?

In the Wall Selection Settings > Model there is a tick box for "Align texture to wall edges". Turn this on for the offending walls and it might solve your fill display problem.

I am afraid there is no checkbox or option using which you could relocate the automatic Vectorial 3D Hatch origin in Elevations.
The only thing I can think of is placing Drawing Fills manually using the "Relative to the Fill Origin" Geometry Method, then adjusting the Fill Origin of those Fills manually.

The Align Texture to Wall Edges checkbox is there in AC21 as well, but it does not affect Vectorial 3D Hatches, I think. It affects only Textures.

I think the op is asking about something else.
See attached image.

Exactly that thanks Laszlo.

Currently it is dictated by the base of the wall, not the bottom of the upper section of wall.

In Revit, you can move and align model fills to suit, I just wondered what the controls were for wall fills, specifically complex profile walls in this case
