Freeform walls with curved tops and varying heights.

I teach an Architecture class at our high school and the boys are needing to design an entrance to a new housing estate. They want to create a free form curved wall, possibly shaped like a wave. The wall would be used to put the name of the estate on. I have tried all variations of the wall tool, slabs, beams and basic shape objects but cant seem to get a wall to curve up or down across the top. I can create a wave shaped wall when looking in plan view but I then need to get it to stand up so that it looks like a wave or what ever shape in elevation. Anyone got some suggestions?

This will be done with a Complex Profile wall!

Do you mean a wave in profile (see attached image) or cross-section (as for the previous post)?
