I am quite literally going insane. If I create the roof in 2D I can't see it in 3D, if I create it in 3D I can see it in both 2D and 3D. But I would like to create it in the 2D view !!!! I can select the roof in 2D and it will show it in 3D isolated from the rest of the model... and once I see it isolated I can't find a way to see the whole model. This is slowing me down so much it really can't be so hard?!?
Pictured here is the roof when I try to see it in 3D and then no way to see the whole model even after clicking View > Elements in 3D view > Show All
Make sure your roof is checked : in your "elements in 3d view" "filter and cut elements in 3d"
