Insect screening and Glass walls?

Does any one know how to create insect screening for a screen porch?

Also, can't seem to figure out how to do a glass wall or glass door. As in a shower without any frame - just glass?

Thanks,

For the Wall, I use a basic wall, 1" thick (could be thinner) and set all Surfaces to glass. For the Door, it depends on the specific door you are using, but you will need to eliminate all the extras (trim, frame, etc.) and set the door leaf surface to glass.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Thanks David,

I had set the wall up as you noted, I realized I had the 3D viewing settings set with 'transparency' set to 'off'. I also set up the signature as you mentioned.

I was thinking I could use the glass wall to look a little like a screen porch. Any other thoughts on how to do screening? Surprised this is not an embedded material?

Thanks!

This is a thread about screen porches:
I need to make a screened wall... suggestions?

For the Surface, you could start with a translucent glass surface (for example Glass - Satin 18 ) and modify it to suit your visual preferences. If you are a SSA subscriber, download and check the Additional Surface Catalog 18 which has more translucent glass options.

Thanks for adding the signature.
