Intersection of walls.

Hello everyone,
I've had this question regarding the intersection of walls for quite some time.
Why do two walls made out of two materials, set up properly in terms of one having higher priority set in the building materials panel, do not intersect properly in

3D view. You have to resort to Solid Element Operations to make this work.
I am attaching a picture to showcase my problem,

Uhh, Walls sharing their reference lines is never a good idea. But why would the walls be in the same space in the first place? Just split the wall with "material 2" at the right places.
