Hello everybody. Here I am after attending ACU West.
I returned home with good and bad news.
The good news are that I find out I know a lot about ArchiCAD.
The bad news is that I hardly know anything.
For example, I returned to the office to find out this building that needs to be split in three separate sections, each with the first floor elevation two (2') feet higher than the adjacent one while the relationship of the upper floors remains the same in each section.
So, here is the question: Do I assign first floor to elev 0'-0"; 2nd floor to elev 2'-0" and 3rd floor to elev 4'-0" or, is it better to ignore the model, unlink the elevations and "slide" each section up or down to show correctly.
The sections of the building can be managed with modules, however, modules do not relate to a floor level like library part which can be placed 2'; or 4' above a given floor level.
Please send me your comments/ideas how to document this building while preserving the 3D Model.
