thanks.....and your tutorials are great and admire your continuity from 4.5 to current. i started 4.0 in 1994 until 7.0 in 2004 but move on [not my choice] to autocad and revit .

i'm using the apply mouse and the dot is zoom ..so i just have to click on the icon bleow for the hand to pan..but i thought there is a shortcut key to use.

If you go to the Work Environment Dialog, there is a Keyboard Shortcuts page. Here you can find all the commands in ArchiCAD (including Pan) and you can assign a shortcut to any of them.
So you can use your keyboard to activate the Pan command.
