License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Pen Color Settings - Definition Accuracy

Anonymous
Not applicable
ArchiCAD 16 is not retaining the exact definition of pens in terms of color. This is true whether it is set via HSV settings or RGB. For example, if a color is set to 30/25%/50% on the HSV sliders, it will become something like 30/28%/42%. There seems to be a general approximation occurring. This is frustrating because we are trying to set-up a presentation color palette with predictable and accurately defined colors.

By the way, this condition is also apparent in the material editor as well.

Is there a obscure setting somewhere in ArchiCAD for color accuracy? I do not believe it is a video card issue, because the colors will remain unchanged in other applications like PhotoShop.

The system parameters are:
MAC OS X, 10.8.2
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB
ArchiCAD 16, build 3270

Thank you,

JFA

Follow-Up:

For what it is worth and for those interested, the above issue has been reported to Graphisoft as a "bug". The effect was repeated with identical results by both our Reseller and Graphisoft on a MAC environment. I need to test the condition on a PC as well.
