Polygon Degeneration error in section

Anonymous

I get this error constantly when generating a section camera (see attached). I believe it has happened only when I used the Special SE9 Library although, I am still new to ArchiCAD and cannot be 100% sure. It appears to be a debugging error. Is there a setting that will turn it off. Very Annoying!

Thanks,

Mark Hendricks

it seems to be a problem with a door or window frame . . . someone with the US special edition library will be able to track it down further. but a quick check could be to ensure that you haven't set any zero or minus values for any of the doors or windows that appear in that section/elevation.

you can turn off the 'annoyance' in your work environment: go to User Preferences>Imaging and Calculation> and uncheck 'interrupt with error messages'.

Thanks Ben,

I can't find any window anomolies with my limited experience but changing that setting in user preferences will sure help me keep my sanity...

Personally and Professionally I would only use the Standard AC 9 Library for now.

Jay,

Thanks for the suggestions. Is there an easy way to convert all library items in one plan to the standard AC9 format?

Thanks,

Mark Hendricks
Make a last attempt at sort of saving your work by selecting all windows and doors, and setting both their 3D representation and their 'parametric detail' or whatever it is called to the 'simple' or whatever options. That might do away with the rough opening or door stop or whatever that has a zero value and is 'degenerating your polygons' in the model.
