I'm having trouble with the Profile Manager showing the seperation lines or courses in a custom log wall profile. Maybe this is not possible? I have tried to use a different fill in adjacent courses which did not work. the log wall details options are very limited (poor in my opinion) which make for a very unrealistic section view of anything other than a round log.
anybody tried to do this type of thing?
I was able to get the lines in elevation by adding a small straight segment between the curves. The wall is a single fill. For some reason, two connecting curves do not yield a line, even when using alternating fills with different material assignments to their curved faces.

I was just now working on an eave detail, using different fills where the pieces abut. Maybe this has improved in version 12, but separation lines seem to happen in section as you would expect if the fills are different. Does anyone know how to control fills of 3D elements in section so that some elements have opaque backgrounds and others have transparent? Is this controlled in profile manager? section settings? preferences? I cannot find.
guys iv created a simple polyline prfile on floor plan.
Now im looking for profile editor.
I just cant find it... looking for about 20 minutes now... girrr.
Hi Ian - I do not know which version you are in, but as I am still in version 12, I find the Profile Editor here: Options / Element Attributes / Profile Manager. In AC14, it is in the same place. Good Luck
